Fortune 500
Business Intelligence & Analytics
This is where most of our conversations with a client starts - you’ve got questions and no one’s been able to give you a good answer yet. In Corporate America these days, everyone is over-booked and over-worked. Trying to find time to dig deeper into data and solve problems can seem daunting at times.
That’s where Proximo comes in. We work with you and your data - both internal and external - to answer your most difficult questions. We use tried-and-true analytics methodologies, like regression modeling, to modern AI techniques, such as our unique and proprietary machine-learning genetic programming methods.
While we are technical data wonks at heart, we don’t give you statistical models and walk away. We excel at delivering insights: trying to turn the data into a story that makes sense and describes in plain English what is going on - with the customer, employee, product line, or whatever we’re analyzing. Sometimes it’s delivered via a dashboard, or it can be as simple as a presentation.
We can work with you on an ongoing basis to continually update and answer questions, or we can come in to deliver insights on a critical question, and your team takes it from there. We’re adept at this style of flexible engagement.
Data Warehousing & Integration
Often we’re asked to deliver on Business Intelligence & Analytics, but when we get into it, the data needed is often fragmented, siloed, incomplete, unclean…does this sound familiar? We know the data in our companies isn’t always easily accessible. So Proximo does a lot of data integration work. This can be a one-off integration to answer a specific question or the build of a “data warehouse” that continually loads, cleans and integrates data so you always have it accessible to you.
We work with all of the major database vendors, as well as with data lakes and highly unstructured data. As a Fortune 500 company, you are almost certain to have a standard in place, which Proximo can easily work with and fit into, in a way that meets all security requirements.
Data Strategy & Governance
If you're like a lot of companies, you have internal data assets you don't make a lot (or sometimes any) use of. What can you do with that data to unlock hidden potential and value? Proximo's work around data strategy and governance helps you explore how you can use that data in new ways to meet your goals and make a positive impact to the bottom line. We can then help you operationalize the use of this data. You'll know what success looks like and will be able to move forward confidently.
Culture of Analytics
“If you build it, they will come.” Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case.
In order to successfully upgrade to a new analytics platform, adapting to a new way of working together is essential. Your culture has to embrace it, understand why data analytics and adapting together is important, and believe that it can be done.
Culture of Analytics is a comprehensive culture development program that focuses on the human component technology adoption. By giving your people the confidence they need to make more data-driven and human-centric decisions, they learn a new way of thinking, working, and decision making.
So if you’ve already invested in this new data and analytics technology — or are about to — empower your people to use it, understand why it’s helpful for them, and motivate them to play a more proactive and productive role. We’re here to help you and your leadership team build an internal culture that embraces learning, optimizes new technology, and encourages curiosity. After completing Culture of Analytics, you and your team will be able to work with more ease and effectively.

Associations
Business Intelligence & Analytics
This is where most of our conversations with a client starts - you’ve got questions and no one’s been able to give you a good answer yet. But getting good answers to questions in today’s association world can be difficult. There’s often a variety of systems - not only your AMS but systems that manage your meetings, journals, hotels, abstracts, and education data - and they’re not all integrated. Each system does have its own bank of reports, but looking at data across systems is something that is very difficult. Let’s face it - you don’t want to deal with four Excel extracts and manually merge data together to build that one report for the next board meeting.
Easily bringing the data you need together will not only save you lots of time but more importantly give you the information you need that lets you figure out if members who submit abstracts also buy your educational products more often than other members. You need data like this, in easy to use reports and dashboards, to really move the needle and make a difference at your association.
And you also need tools to help you not only see what has happened in the past but what will happen. Perhaps predictive modeling - knowing what a member is likely to do tomorrow may sound out of reach for you, but in many cases it’s not with Proximo’s tried-and-true analytics methodologies coupled with our modern, unique and proprietary AI techniques. We work with you and your data - both internal and external - to answer your most difficult questions.
While we are technical data wonks at heart, we don’t give you obtuse statistical models and walk away. We excel at delivering insights: trying to turn the data into a story that makes sense and describes in plain English what is going on - with the customer, employee, product line, or whatever we’re analyzing. This is key to real data driven decision making.

Data Registries
You may be an association that already has a data registry. Or one that is considering it. Registries support an industry and are sometimes driven by federal regulations. For instance, a clinical data registry records information about patients’ health status and the care they receive over time, allowing physicians to see what treatments are available and how patients with different characteristics respond to certain treatments.
Registries are not simply “another database” or something casually assembled. They contain very sensitive data. They may be impacted by multiple government laws. The volumes can far exceed what is typical in a membership association environment. They can be a big revenue driver.
For a registry, it pays to work with a partner that knows this space and has a successful track record. Talk to us and see how we can bring our leading experience to your association.

Data Strategy & Governance
So your CEO or Board is finally ready to move forward with a Business Intelligence program. Where to begin? You can just jump in with some software and see if it meets your needs. But you run the risk of choosing something that’s not right for your particular organization or staff. And eventually the CEO or board will ask if you’re done, but if you didn’t know where you were going, how do you know if you’re there?
Many of our association clients elect to begin a Business Intelligence program with a Data Strategy led by Proximo. We take you through a process of discovery, where we ask:
We work with you and bring in experience from other associations and industries to develop a roadmap for you to follow. So rather than diving in without knowing where you’re going or what success looks like, you’ll be able to move forward confidently, knowing your expected tasks, budget, and outcomes.
A Data Strategy can be holistic and span the entire organization, or it can cover a specific functional area, like membership, or focus on a specific topic, like Data Governance.
